When you think of Cambridge, you think of punting, they go hand-in-hand. So, with that being said, if you haven’t already, you need to hop on board the River Cam and take a punt. The River Cam runs directly through the heart of Cambridge, giving you the best views of Cambridge’s Colleges, The Kings College Chapel, Bridge of Sighs and the Wren Library to name a few! It hasn’t got to be your first time to enjoy it, an hour in the afternoon floating along the river can be just the recharge you need to carry on seizing your day!

 

Treat yourself to some shopping

If you decide on doing a bit of shopping when you go to Cambridge, you will not be disappointed with what the iconic City has to offer. The Grand Arcade located in the centre of the City has an impressive selection of your more, ‘high-street’ recognised stores, such as your John Lewis’ to your Topman’s and Topshop’s. Whereas outside, you find the more unique independent stores for Cambridge stocking such items as the fashionable tweed garments. The independent stores in Cambridge are really what separates Cambridge’s shopping options aside amongst the rest. So many of the stores boast so much popularity and potential amongst the locals who rightfully so, support the fantastic stores to them be it food, clothing, everyday essentials and so on.

 

Museums and the history

If you go to Cambridge, the Fitzwilliam museum is a must. The Fitzwilliam museum was once described as “One of the greatest art collections of the nation and a monument of the first importance” by The Standing Commission on Museums & Galleries. That in itself should tell you what is inside of this incredible building needs to be seen by your very eyes! The museum boasts many different Exhibitions and Displays that would interest all ages, a great day out for anyone looking to learn some interesting history!
